Description
The iconic Renault 5 Turbo is back, in the form of a rear-wheel drive, 500+ horsepower electric hot hatch. In 2022 Renault teased us with the R5 Turbo 3E Concept, a drift car in function, but a look at what a proper revival of the R5 Turbo could look like. Now in late 2024, Renault have confirmed a new production model called the 2025 Renault 5 Turbo 3E, and it looks amazing.
Whilst the styling may not be to everyone’s taste, it certainly has a strong sense of a car that’s been modified extensively. Featuring a wide body kit with side air intakes, a large rear diffuser overhanging out back and deep side sills, the Turbo 3E is bold in its execution. The powertrain will consist of two electric motors positioned on each of the rear wheels combining for over 500 hp and making this little hot hatch rear-drive only.
