2019 Renault Megane RS Trophy

The Trophy badge in the Renault line-up has always been reserved for the fastest models, and the 2019 Renault Megane RS Trophy continues this trend. Equipped with a new turbocharged 1.8L inline 4, the Megane RS Trophy produces 300 PS (220 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque for models with the six-speed EDC (Efficient dual-clutch) gearbox. Peak torque drops to 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) for the six-speed manual transmission models.

The power increase is largely thanks to new technologies developed for the turbocharger and exhaust system, including for the first time the ability to alter the engine note. As with all Trophy models, the Renault Cup chassis is in use which features stiffer suspension and a Torsen mechanical limited slip differential. The Cup chassis is setup more for track usage providing crisper handling and dynamics, allowing the added power to be put to better use. the wheels are 19-inch ‘Jerez’ alloys wrapped with high performance Bridgestone tyres which together help reduce total unsprung weight by 8kg.
