2018 Renault Megane RS

The all new Renault Megane RS has arrived at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, complete with an all new 280 hp turbocharged engine and four-wheel steering. Sitting wider on the road, the new RS sports larger 18 and 19 inch wheels, wide air intake feeds, with rear spoiler and diffuser. The suspension setup has been influenced by the world rallying with four hydraulic compression bump stops and independent steering axis front suspension.

Transmission choices come in the flavour of a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed EDC dual clutch transmission complete with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Cup chassis version utilises a Torsen limited slip differential to improve traction and cornering speeds. Renault has stated that an even more powerful ‘Trophy’ version will be available in 2018, with over 300 hp.
