2018 Peugeot e-Legend Concept

The French marque Peugeot are looking to their future with the launch of the e-Legend concept car, an interesting design study with nice proportions and an all-electric drivetrain. Although highly unlikely to go into production, the e-Legend continues the recent good form of Peugeot with producing good looking cars. There’s the sharp Peugeot 3008 SUV, the attractive new 508 and now the e-Legend concept. All combine into a good trend or Peugeot with hope they can continue with penning good looking automobiles for a long time.

The design of the Peugeot e-Legend concept is inspired by their collaboration with design house Pininfarina back in the late 1960’s, producing the 504 Coupe. The e-Legend takes a similar form, proportion and dimension as the 504 whilst adding a modern touch to the styling.

The electric powertrain is fed by a 100 kWh battery which makes the system capable of 462 PS (340 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm). Acceleration is quoted at under 4 seconds for 0-100 kph, with top speed around 137 mph (220 kph). A full autonomous mode is also present on the e-Legend, and when activated the steering wheel retracts into the dash board providing more space for occupants.
