2021 Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign

After the concept reveal in 2018, Nissan and Italdesign have launched the exclusive hand-built GT-R50. As the name suggests it celebrates both 50 years of the GT-R in production, and a limited run of only 50 units. The design was penned at Nissan’s San Diego design studio with the technical design and prototyping taking place at Nissan’s London design office. All the bespoke parts will be manufactured in Italy where each car will be assembled by Italdesign.

Powering the GT-R50 is a tuned version of the twin turbo V6 engine found in the regular Nissan R35 GT-R. Headlining the changes are new GT3 racing spec turbochargers paired with larger intercoolers, new pistons, bearings, connecting rods and a heavy-duty crankshaft. All these changes have uplifted the power output to 720 PS (530 kW) of power and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque. Larger 21-inch wheels have also been fitted along with new Bilstein continuously variable dampers.
