2017 Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept

Inspired by Minis triumphs in the Monte Carlo Rally 50 years ago, the John Cooper Works GP concept car embodies undiluted dynamic flair and driving fun on the race track and the road. This concept continues Minis GP heritage following the 2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP and 2006 Mini Cooper S with GP Kit. Those two cars both explored the limits of their capabilities at the time and were produced in limited quantities of 2,000 units between the two.

Clear visual differences are evident through the liberal use of large aero elements with the front air dam, rear diffuser, rear wing and wheel arches. The interior uses an integrated roll bar with race bucket seats and 5-point harnesses, pointing this concept clearly in the race track direction. No mechanical details have been provided, but be assured that if this goes in production it will stand as the fastest Mini in the stable.
