2023 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore

GranTurismo Folgore is the all-electric version of Maserati’s new coupe, rocking even more power and performance than its petrol-powered brother. Built on an 800-volt architecture capable of 270 kW DC charging and 279 miles of range, the Folgore is not a bespoke EV chassis as it shares the same platform as the petrol variant.

The powertrain consists of three 300 kW permanent magnet motors positioned with one on the front axle, and the other two on the rear. these all combine to make the Folgore the most powerful GranTurismo to date. For those doing their maths, it would at first glance look like the Folgore has around 900 kW’s to play with. However not all three motors produce their peak power at the same time with the battery pack unable to feed them all that much electricity. As such peak power is actually rated at 560 kW, which is still a lot of performance especially when coupled with the huge 996 lb-ft of torque available.
