Description
The first modern coachbuilt Radford pays tribute to the iconic Lotus Type 62 whilst using Lotus Evora underpinnings. The original British coachbuilding company called Radford has come and gone, but was once known for building cars for high profile celebrity clientele. The new Radford comes to life with four co-owners including Formula 1 driver Jenson Button and TV presenter Ant Anstead.
Built in a partnership with Lotus, the Type 62-2 is a 2-seater mid-engine coupe that is engineered for an unadulterated mechanical feel, exceptional engagement and uncompromising poise. At it’s heart is the Toyota sourced 3.5L V6 engine as found in the Evora in supercharged form. Peak power has been rated at 430 hp for the base model Classic version with buyers having the choice of getting either the Gold Leaf version with 500 hp, or the JPS version with 600 hp.
Overall production will be limited to only 62 units with just 12 of them being the top line John Player Special (JPS) model that feature the black and gold livery.
