2018 Lotus Evora GT430

The Lotus Evora GT430 stands as the British manufacturers most powerful road-going model ever, with more power, more downforce and less weight. The GT430 is the further evolution from the 400 and 410 Evora models, each surpassing the previous with greater performance levels and capabilities. Through extensive use of advanced aerodynamics the GT430 generates up to 250 kg of downforce, setting the stage for the fully homologated Evora to be a force on the race track.

The 3.5L Supercharged V6 has seen some fettling with power increased to 430 hp and torque up to 440 Nm. The dry weight has been reduced 26 kg down to 1,258 kg through the use of carbon fibre body panels, wings and splitters. The chassis setup and tuning is always the key to the success of Lotus with the GT430 Evora regarded as one of the finest handling sports cars on the market. Damping is provided by Lotus-tuned, Öhlins TTX two-way adjustable units, with 20 click-adjustment compression and rebound settings and saving 10kg in mass compared to the Evora Sport 410 set-up. To compliment the dampers are new low-sideload Eibach springs, with higher spring rates and revised front and rear sway bars. This combination of power, handling, aero and low weight translate the Evora GT430 into a blistering fast road car that lapped the famous Hethel test track in 1 minute 25.8 seconds, matching the time of the Lotus 3-Eleven road car.
