2019 Alfa Romeo C38

Alfa Romeo have officially returned to Formula 1 with their first car in 34 years unveiled before testing begins for the 2019 season. Alfa Romeos previous last year as a Formula 1 manufacturer was back in 1985, which saw the end of the not very successful era of Alfa’s F1 history. That history goes right back to the beginning of Formula 1, with Nino Farina (1950) and Juan Manuel Fangio (1951) both taking the first two F1 World Drivers’ Championships. From then, Alfa spent time coming and going from F1 both as a works team and as an engine supplier. 2019 marks the year Alfa Romeo has officially returned as a team to F1.

Driving the two cars for the season will be the much loved veteran driver Kimi Raikkonen alongside newcomer Antonio Giovinazzi. The introduction of Raikkonen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, which after a very good 2018 campaign, will be looking to improve further and knock-off some of their more fancied opponents. The livery chosen for this season is an evolution of last years with the beautiful Alfa red making it’s present known all over th rear of the car.
