Description
The Challenge model is Ferraris track-only model designed to run in the Ferrari Challenge Championship. Weight has been reduced from the regular 458 Italia through the extensive use of thinner body panels, carbon fibre and polycarbonate windows and windshield.
Ferrari claims a lap time around their test track at Fiorano of 1:16.5 making this car 2 seconds faster than its predecessor the F430 Challenge. Surprisingly that lap time is only 0.2 seconds shy of the mighty Ferrari FXX, a race-only version of the Enzo Ferrari.
