2018 Donkervoort D8 GTO-40

Celebrating its 40th year producing bespoke hand-crafted sports cars, Donkervoort are introducing their exclusive jubilee model the D8 GTO-40. Claimed to be the companies lightest, fastest, and most versatile GTO ever built, the GTO-40 is a worthy achievement for such an occasion.

Light weight cars are part and parcel for Donkervoort with their very own in-house carbon fiber technology being used to great effect. All their cars are known for being very light weight and the GTO-40 is no different, tipping the scales at a Formula 1 challenging weight of just 678 kilograms. Further improvements come from increases in chassis torsional rigidity, downforce and aerodynamic balance. This has been achieved with integrated front spoilers, a rear diffuser and extra air ducts for cooling. Performance numbers are scarce at the moment, although Donkervoort claim an impressive 0-200 km/h acceleration time of 7.7 seconds. Production will be limited to 40 units.
