2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170

Here it is, the final ultimate version of the Challenger Hellcat. A 1,025 horsepower street-legal drag racer ready to send off the last of Dodge’s Last Call combustion muscle cars in style. Called the Demon 170, Dodge have gone all out uprating the powertrain of the regular Demon (who would have thought the demon could have a regular version) for even higher amounts of power and torque. In fact most of the existing engine has been replaced with higher performing parts so it can survive the extra power load. New pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, crank bearings, billet main caps and cylinder-head studs were all required to cope with the immense pressure in the combustion chambers. Sitting on top is a bigger 3.0L supercharger and fuel injectors that can flow up to 164 gallons per hour, enough to empty the fuel tank in only seven minutes of full-throttle driving.

Performance on the drag strip sees the Demon 170 go from 0-60 mph in just 1.66 seconds on a prepped surface with rollout, placing it among the quickest production cars ever built. The quarter mile is all done and dusted in 8.91 seconds at 151.2 mph.
