2023 Nichols N1A

Inspired by an iconic 60’s McLaren sports prototype racer, Nichols have unveiled their 7.0L V8 powered N1A. The McLaren in question is the 1964 M1A, the first ever race car produced by Bruce McLaren Motor Racing. The aptly named N1A borrows heavily in the styling department and looks all the better for it, with a low-slung stance and pronounced wheel arches.

Weighing in at just under 2,000 lbs and with 650 horsepower being produced by the big Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine, the N1A features a better power-to-weight ratio than a Ferrari SF90. That’s impressive stuff. Keeping that power in check are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, with the power being sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
