Description
New American manufacturer Czinger have revealed their new 3D printed, 1,250 horsepower hypercar called the 21C. Now the whole car isn’t 3D printed, if you were wondering, just some sections of the structure where complex nodes were used to tie together the carbon fiber supports. 3D printing was chosen due to being lighter, using less material and less time consuming.
But you are all here for the important bits. Powering the whole show is a 2.88L flat-plane crank V8 engine that is turbocharged with twin units and is capable of revving to 11,000 rpm. In case that wasn’t enough, Czinger have employed 2 electric motors on each of the front wheels. This system generates up to 1,250 PS (919 kW) of power, which catapults the light weight 21C from 0-62 mph in a mind bending 1.9 seconds. A staggering claim that would place the 21C as the fastest accelerating production car in the world.
More performance numbers have been thrown around, with 0-186-0 mph done and dusted in a cool 15 seconds, and 0-248-0 mph in 29 seconds! That would be some rush. Now we wait to see if these claims by Czinger are true in the real world.
