2019 Aria FXE

One-off concept car builder Aria has brought their new 1,150 hp hypercar called the FXE to this year’s LA motor show. Aria Group have been building concepts for other car manufacturers for over 20 years, and have decided now is the time to enter the ring with a car under their own brand, which they hope will take the fight to the big names in the ever increasing hypercar market.

The total system output of 1,150 horsepower is derived from a big supercharged V8 connected to the rear wheels, and electric motors on the front wheels. This will make the FXE an all-wheel drive car that can theoretically sprint to 60 mph in around 3 seconds and go on to a top speed of 220 mph. Aria also plans an entry level model that do without the electric motors and stick with the V8. The kerb weight will be kept light with the use of 3D printed metal components and a chassis and body made up mostly of carbonfibre.

The production goal is no more than 400 units, which in itself may be ambitious for the company as each car will be a bespoke order and pricing should reflect that. The Aria FXE is planned to go on sale sometime in 2019.
