2018 BMW M140i

The top of the line 1 Series, the BMW M140i comes complete with a twin turbo straight 6 engine producing 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Visually the M version gets darker inserts in the front and rear light assemblies, blacked out grille and 18-inch light-weight alloy wheels wrapped in 225/40 tyres at the front, and 245/35 at the rear. Other highlights include variable sport steering, M Sport suspension, M Sport braking system, driving experience control and dynamic stability control system.

The engine setup utilises twin-scroll turbocharging, fully variable valve timing (VALVETRONIC) and Double- VANOS variable camshaft control. Peak torque is available at a low 1,520 rpm and remains strong till 4,500 rpm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual that does the 0-100 kph sprint in 4.8 seconds, or an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission that does it in 4.6 seconds. The xDrive M140i will rocket to 100 kph in just 4.4 seconds due to the intelligent all-wheel drive system from BMW.
