2019 Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner

Another limited edition car, this time Bentley have created the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner to celebrate it’s centenary in 2019. Limited to 100 cars produced, the Number 9 Edition is inspired by the No.9 Blower Bentley raced by Sir Henry Ralph Stanley ‘Tim’ Birkin in the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours. That car was one of the 4½ litre Bentleys for which Birkin and engineer Amherst Villiers developed a supercharger that increased horsepower from 110 to 175. This helped the No.9 Blower Bentley set the lap record at Le Mans in 1930.

Available in only two paint colours, Viridian green or Beluga black, that most obvious feature of the exterior is the giant No.9 graphic on the front grill which recalls the livery of the original racer. Under the hood, the same 6.0L W12 engine from the regular 2019 Continental GT can be found complete with dual-clutch transmission and Active Roll Control system.
