2022 Audi RS3 Sportback

New generation Audi RS3 comes in both Sedan and Sportback flavours set to rival the Mercedes-AMG A45 S. This new generation RS3 continues to use a front-biased all-wheel drive system that is capable sending a maximum 50% of torque to the rear wheels. New to the system is a torque-vectoring rear diff that when Dynamic mode is selected, can send all of it’s available torque to the outside wheel.

On the styling front, this new RS3 takes a more brash approach, shying away from the subtle aesthetics of the previous incarnations. It is now wider with bigger flared wheel arches presenting a broad and muscular look.

Peak power has remained the same with 394 hp, but total torque has risen by 15 lb-ft to a new total of 369 lb-ft developed between 2,250 and 5,600 rpm. The acceleration clocks in slightly faster than the A45 S, with a 0.1 seconds faster time of 3.8 seconds.
