1989 Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO

As one of the most fearsome looking racing cars ever, the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO has become an icon. Built around a tubular steel spaceframe and covered with bodywork that loosely resembled the Audi 90 quattro of the time, the GTO made use of the powertrain borrowed from Rohrl’s Pike’s Peak 1987 record-setting monster. That meant a 20-valve 2.2L inline 5 engine with a giant KKK turbocharger bolted on and a peak power output of 710 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque.
