2022 Alpine A110 S

Alpine have launched a harder, sharper A110 S, headlining the new model line-up of the revised sports car. Three models will now make up the A110 family with the regular A110, the more powerful and comfortable A110 GT and the more focused A110 S. The main ingredients have remained the same with a turbocharged 1.8L inline 4 engine, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The new A110 S has been given a good overhaul with it’s chassis and suspension setup, setting it apart as the more performance focused version in the family. Recalibrated dampers have been paired with 50 percent stiffer springs and 100 percent stiffer sway bars to achieve this. Tyre options now include a set of Michelin Cup 2s and a new carbon fibre ‘Aero Pack’ will increase downforce by 141 kg at its 170 mph top speed.

Thanks to some software tweaks to the engine, peak power has been lifted from 288 hp to 296 hp with torque remaining at 250 lb-ft thanks to the limitations of the transmission. Alpine says the engine should now be more lively at higher rpm making the A110 S more thrilling to drive.
